(risas)."
‘Tell Me Tell Me’ is a complete contrast to Rainbow.
We can see that you enjoy being on stage. Woori: I have thrown away how greedy I used to be. I have also taken away thought about having to win 1st or creating an issue. I have no learnt that if we have fun on stage, the audience will have fun too. But people expect a variety of sides from idols off stage too. Jaekyung: We haven’t really shown it but we have tried our best to shoe our real personalities throughout the 3-4 years. A song has a fixed concept and a show has a fixed script. But on Twitter or other SNS we can show our honest selves. This is why we are not tired of using SNS. I get to show what my true hobbies and worries are. I have also gotten a dive from fans about my stage styling too. (laughs) Luckily, I have gained confidence because the feedback for ‘Tell Me Tell Me’ was good. I have bigger expectations for the next round of promotions. How do you two get along as same-aged friends? Woori: We are different so we had to get along. We are different in terms of personality, lifestyle and values. At first, I did not understand Jaekyung’s behaviour or words. She thinks differently to me. But after spending over 3 years with her, I have gotten used to it. I also learn a lot of things from her since we are different. Jaekyung: Our tastes also differ in terms of idea type. We do not have to fight. (laughs). When we go shopping, the items we want to buy differ too, and we give different opinions on the same man. We can have conflicting opinions but we have never fought seriously about them. How is life in the dormitory? Jaekyung: We have been together for 3 years but we still watch sitcoms together every day. Since we are all adults, we drink beer together and relieve stress. Not long ago, we have changed our drinking menu. These days we eat ‘jokbaengi’ which is ‘jokbal(pork hocks)’ and ‘golbaengi(whelk)’ along with a drink. It’s a good combination. (laughs) What do you talk about when you gather up? Woori: Three of the members are int heir mid-20s so we talk and worry about our future a lot. It’s not very different to the other people who are around the same age as us. We talk about men too (laughs). Not long ago, we started to talk a lot about marriage because Wonder Girls’ Sunye got married. You have to date before getting married. Jaekyung: Our label tells us not to date and avoids us from doing so. Now they feel a bit sorry for telling us not to do that. Since we couldn’t really anjou ourselves during our blossoming age. I think it’s even stranger to tell someone who is 26 not to date. Woori: When I want to have fun outside, I go outside and have fun. Since us seven go out together we do not get punished for that. Now the agency told us to go out and play instead of staying at home. I want to go the club one day with the members to dance and have fun. Isn’t it an age where you want to do plenty of things? Woori: During my university years, I used to get a part time job and go on small vacations with the salary I got. Even though I get paid now, I can’t go on a vacation alone. I am satisfied by just listing a few places I want to go in my diary. If I have the opportunity, I wish to go to India first. I wanted to go there since I was young. But many people told me that I had to prepare a lot for it so I honestly don’t know when I can go. How do you relieve stress these days? Jaekyung: I draw. Since I major in fashion design, I find it easier to express myself with drawing rather than writing. Later on, I wish to collaborate on making a book with an illustrator and calligrapher. Woori: I make a small snack and go watch a movie at a movie theatre near my house. If I go early in the morning, not many people are there. I can sit down comfortably with my legs crossed and eat my snack whilst watching the movie. I am happy when I have my own time to concentrate on a movie. You can talk about big dreams but they are quite simple. Jaekyung: I do have big goals. I want to use my major and apply it to a styling tv show. I have never been a host of an entertainment or music show but I think a style show will be perfect. And later on, I wish to create a brand with my name and launch it. Woori: I wish to stand in front of a camera for a long time. That’s why I am also taking acting lessons. If I only did things I was good at till now, now I want to challenge myself to areas which I lack in. I wish to challenge myself into hosting a show too. Don’t I look fitting to be a music show host? (laughs). I wish to be good in all areas and make people think “Ah, there is such celebrity like Koh Woori”. If you have a lot of greed, that much mean you are very confident. Jaekyung: The biggest thing I have gotten out of the ‘Tell Me Tell Me’ promotions is confidence. I don’t have to worry so much about the other people’s gazes and receiving love continuously. A good result can come without worrying if you work hard. Woori: I do not have any thought about giving up when it comes to Rainbow and solo activities. When I was young, I was confident in sports and endurance. I didn’t do well in short distance running but well on long distance. When I do something, I have to do it till the end. It’s not fun to succeed in such a short amount of time (laughs).
